Our Mission:To share in the Gospel of Jesus and to live His message of faith, love and forgiveness in order to make real the Kingdom of God on earth, not only within our parish family but also among the lives of all we touch within our community at large. To this end we place ourselves under the direction of the Holy Spirit and pray for guidance to the ever Blessed Virgin Mother.

HARD BOUND HYMNALS ARE ON THE WAY!

Well, as we try to make our celebration of the Eucharist a bit better it means coming up with a new Hymnal. In the past few years we have used the paperback edition of the BREAKING BREAD HYMNALS. Your generosity in dedicating them has been outstanding. But why go through the expense each year when a hardback can solve the problem. A Hardback hymnal complete with the Sunday Readings -- that is awesome..

Several editions have been looked at and we’ve chosen and Fr. Cliff has approved JOURNEYSONGS from Oregon Catholic Press. It’s a hardback edition with all three cycles (A, B, C) Sunday readings included. So it will make it a bit easier on the weekends to follow the readings and the hymns if they are all in the same book.

THIS DOES NOT DO AWAY WITH THE WORD AMONG US, we will still get that little book for you, our parishioners. It’s a great tool and provides you with the weekday readings as well, and awesome meditations throughout the month.

The new hymnals are expensive. To help defray the cost of them, I want to give you the opportunity of dedicating a copy or more to an individual or individuals either In Memory Of or In Honor Of. Thus the attachment. Read it, think about it, pray about it, and just return it to the Rectory either by mail or in the Weekend Collection. Just make the check out to Incarnation of Our Lord Parish and make it a separate check other than the donation check. It will make it easier to keep track of Hymnal money vs. collection money. Thanks!
